Americanism

At VFW Post 2632, Americanism means honoring the values that define our nation and passing them on to future generations here in St. Mary’s County and Southern Maryland.

We are dedicated to promoting patriotism, responsible citizenship, and respect for the Constitution, the American flag, and the freedoms secured by those who served. Through education, community involvement, and youth-focused programs, our Post works to strengthen the civic spirit that unites our community.

Our Americanism programs and activities include:

• Flag education and instruction on proper flag etiquette
• Supporting youth scholarship and essay programs such as Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen
• Encouraging civic responsibility, leadership, and community involvement
• Honoring veterans and recognizing their service and sacrifice

Americanism is not about politics—it is about service, unity, and preserving the ideals of liberty and justice for all. VFW Post 2632 proudly upholds these traditions while continuing to serve veterans, their families, and our Southern Maryland community.
